Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Sharma’s Kitchen Ghee for cooking

Makes 4 servings

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour with a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough. Set aside for 15 minutes.

Heat a teaspoon of Sharma’s Kitchen Ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add mashed potatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Divide the dough into small balls. Roll out each ball into a small circle and place a portion of the potato mixture in the center.

Fold the edges of the dough to cover the stuffing completely and roll it out into a round paratha.

Heat a tawa (griddle) and cook the paratha on medium heat, applying Sharma’s Kitchen Ghee generously on both sides until golden brown spots appear.

Serve hot with Sharma's Kitchen Probiotic Yoghurt.
